Skatås - Kåsjön
Degree of difficulty
From Skatås abundant outdoor life and with the majority of bathing lakes along the trail you are rewarded up on Getryggen with miles of views of Gothenburg westwards.
From Skatås, Gotaleden goes east through the nature reserve Knipeflågsbergen, an extensive mountain plateau, which borders the Delsjö area. The trail climbs up here on the mountain Getryggen, which offers a fantastic view of Gothenburg. Here is a beautifully situated wind shelter that is suitable for both breaks and overnight. Further towards Kåsjön, the trail passes the well-known Blacktjärn. At Kåsjön there is a nice bathing area and summer time also kiosk and toilet. If you want to stay overnight, Partille Vandrarhem offers Bed & Breakfast.
The trail is easy to medium, but has some steep passages. If you walk in silence one piece, listen, wait and see, there are good chances to see the forest's larger animals - elk and deer but also less like hare, fox and badger. The trail goes all the way parallel to the Bohusleden.
Length: 10 km
Time: 2,5 hours excluding breaks
Difficulty: Easy to medium
Don't miss: The view from the top of the ridge. To feel the calm along the trail, despite the proximity to Gothenburg and surrounding municipalities.
